Mill Run Golf Course - Wild Ridge Course -- *Nice layout. Great conditions*
Review by: JT	I've golfed Wild Ridge about a half dozen times now. It is by far the nicest course in the Eau Claire area. The course conditions are usually nothing short of great. The holes are extremely intriguing and there are some decent challanges to be had. Not for the inexperienced golfer unless you don't mind higher than normal scores. I'm not going to comment on the Mill Run course as I haven't golfed it in about 6 years. I've heard the owners concentrated on the Wild Ridge side at the expense of the Mill Run side. Mill Run's layout is a little more amicable for the inexperienced golfer. The holes are shorter and there are fewer hazards to contend with than Wild Ridge.

Dogwood Golf & Country Club
"xtreme golfer"
I first played this course in the winter season and I was really impressed with the condition it was in. The fairways which are Bermuda were dormant, but very well maintained. The layout was quite challenging, especially the 2nd hole which required a nice fade over trees which would put you in position for a nice approach to an elevated green. For those without a fade in your bag, this hole would stretch your imagination and skill level to attempt to go for it in two. The remainder of the front-side consisted of two other dog-legs to the right which again would require a nice fade shot in order to reach in regulation. The finishing hole on the front side is fairly long, but straighforward - again another dog-leg to the right. On the back side, your course management skills are challenged very early on the second hole. From an elevated tee shot you can attempt a 240+ drive to an elevated fairway. If not executed properly, you can find your tee shot in the woods (left OB), in water (right and short). This hole requires good course management and disclipline. The remainder of backside plays either up or downhill with water coming into play on several of them. The greens are medium to large, but fair. Overall, I was challenged on this course and have considered joining this course in the the spring. Rates are very affordable.

Highlands Country Club
"Great Mountain Course"
Although you must golf with a member, Highlands offers a wide variety of challenges. Varying lies, fast greens, and narrow fairways makes Highlands a highly likeable course. A recent resodding of the fairways to Kentucky bluegrass has made this already aesthetic course even more beautiful.

Deep Cliff Golf Course
"DEEP CLIFF TIGHT AND DEMANDING"
Deep Cliff is a short but demanding little layout. It has a great set of par 3 holes ranging from 106 to 199 yards. The par 4's are all interesting and have a good amount of trouble to be found. It is a real risk for reward course. I would advise playing from the blue discs for a true test. If you play from the "daily set" tee boxes you are not being challenged.
