Featured Golf Course Review:
| Emerald Lakes Golf Center -- The nicest 9 hole around |
| Review by: Morris |
Emerald Lakes is a fun little course that provides the basic golf experiance to the younger golfers in the Elk Grove area. The course has many hazards, including hole 5 which is as good as an island hole as you could get at any 9 hole course. The Course tends to be real hard in the summer and extremely wet during the winter. Give the grass at least 3 or 4 days to soak up water after a hard rain or you'll be chipping out of the mud on most holes. Overall, the course provides just enough amusement to keep the low end golfers happy, while aslo providing a great practice facility including a driving range, chipping green, and putting green. The bottom line, this is the best 9 hole course in the Elk Grove Area. |

This is a true city muni course. Small, crowded, cheap, terrible condition. Heck, people walk in off the busy streets of san francisco and jump the fence, it must be busy. I mean I have played this course a ton and it is more and more dissapointing every time. Long waits cause all the par 4's play like par 3's. The views of the bay are unbelievable, but I wish the course was up to par with the amazing land. The condition is so bad that it really plays against you and makes it a tough course. Always windy. Even though I say all this, why not play it once, if anything just go for the views. |
