Evansville Country Club -- Hidden Gem
Review by: Madison Golf Nut This is a great value for your golfing dollar. Not a long drive from Madison but definitely better than the Madison city courses, for about the same price. Three of the longest playing par 4's in the area (3,8 and 17) and overall one of the toughest holes around (number 9), if you play the blue tees. Nice blend of old and new holes. Very nice greens. Lots of character. The bad news is that they do not have a convenient driving range.

Ross' Teal Wing Golf Club -- Got to play if your're in Hayward
Review by: RT Wow, what a gem tucked into the North Woods. It is a bit more expensive than others in the area, but if you enjoy golf, you've got to play it. A round comes with a small bucket of range balls to get you loosened up. You'll need it. Tee shots demand tight accuracy and if your ball veers off the fairway much, your looking at big numbers. It's not that you can't hit the ball when you are off the fairway, in many cases you can't even find your ball! Driver is best left in the bag on a number of holes. Each hole has a description of the hole on a signpost and offers suggestions on how to play the hole. Use them! Finally, this is a beautiful course representing some of the finest golf in Northern Wisconsin and quite probably the state.
