Oxford Valley Golf Course -- Nice Cheap Course
Review by: Mike Dombroski Not a bad course for $9.50. Only 3 holes which are good for long drives. The rest of the holes are good for your short irons. Great course to get some practice in, constant movement of the tee boxes and pin placement keep things interesting with certain placement of tree's. Greens need a good fixin' but you cant expect too much for under 10 dollar play.

Wanango Country Club -- serenity in the allegheny foothills
Review by: michael savard this beautifully designed course (tillinhast and ross) offers a challenging but fair round of golf. nestled in the foothills of the allegheny mountains nature surrounds you on every hole (no development can be seen from the course - just a few oil derricks that are remnants of the region's famous past). the greens were smooth and fast for the springtime. the elevated tee on number 7 affords a view of northwestern pennsylvania beauty. the 570 yard par 5 18th is a challenge for most any golfer to reach in 2. #15 and #16 have tiered greens that can cause headaches. the 123 yard par 3 5th hole is short yet beautiful and the 160 yard par 3 10th with its elevated green is a unique way to start the back 9. all in all, the course was an extraordinary example of how nature and the game of golf can coexist in harmony.
