Fall River Valley Golf & Country Club -- *Great Course*
Review by: Dova	This is one of the funnest courses that I have ever played. The open layout and scenic views made it a spectacular experience. The work crew and the people there are the greatest. With a work crew of only 5, the course is in fabulous shape and is comparable to some of the best. The fairways are in imaculate condition.

Review by: John	First time I played this course I was blown away by its beauty and sportiness. Even had to stay one more day so I could play it again. Breathtaking is a good word. Well groomed and playable for everyone with multiple tees. Just a Jolly Good Experience... Wish I could play all summer.

Review by: Ray	Played course in August 2004, with an RV Golf club that I belong to. Greens and course were super clean and groomed. Beautiful setting, especially in early evening. Group plans on returning in May as part of a summer golf swing.

Fox Creek Golf Club
"A Best Buy in StLouis Metropolitan Area"
I will start by saying that while I am only 24 years old, I have been an avid golfer since age 7. I haven't played a huge number of courses in my lifetime, but I know a good course when I play one, and I know a bad course as well. I personally feel that this course plays better than the more well known Sunset Hills CC also in Edwardsville, while not requiring membership/friendship to play. I've played the Bay Point Lagoon Legend in Panama City (known to be one of the 5 toughest courses in the US), and I truly don't think it has much on Fox Creek difficulty wise. The trees alone on Fox Creek truly play havok with any shots that aren't riding the middle of the fairways. Several greens have large trees that block approach shots that aren't setup off the tee correctly. A smart player will leave his driver in the bad on most tees (unless you are confident in your big stick), however, due to the course's length, approach shots end up being taken with mid-to-long irons more than one would like. Couple this with water or OB on nearly every hole and multi-tiered undulating greens and you are looking at one tough course. The best part about this course is the low price. You can play for dirt cheap in my opinion for as fine a course as this one. The only knock in my book is that the course does not wear well through the year, either due to climate or an average greens-crew. So if you want to play a great course for a bottom dollar price, come early in the year (April-May). I promise you won't be disappointed.

Stevens Park Golf Course
"Classic Muny"
Stevens is only a few minutes from downtown. It's in a beautiful area and has some scenic views of Dallas. It's a classic muny and a good course to walk. There are many challenging holes and there are some very easy holes. Number 2 is a very short par 4 and is reachable from all of the tees. Number 12 is a short par 5 dog leg that is reachable in 2 but there are many well placed trees and an elevated green with a mean slope and you'll be happy if you get your 5. There are a few holes where you can hit your drive as far as you can but most take some strategy off the tee. On 17 you can hit 220 yards straight away or 140 yards to the right side of the fairway and both will leave an open short iron shot to the green... if you avoid two beautiful oaks and a wide creek on that tee shot. The par 3's are gorgeous and the two on the back are included in the 3 hardest on the back nine handicap chart. Stevens Park is a favorite, great taquitos in the snack bar too.

Flushing Meadows Pitch & Putt Golf Course
"looking for short game"
flushing meadows pitch & putt golf course is the perfect answer for my short game.. easy to get to well kept, & in the summer last tee is at 11pm. so if i'm working late theres no problem getting in a good work out. it also has a full service snack bar. so i rate it this way.. burger, fries, beer & short game!! 4 stars.. almost forgot longest hole 80yds shortest hole 40yds avg.60yds holes
