Jefferson District Golf Course -- Easy - Relaxing 9 holes
Review by: Ken Kaish This course is one of my favorite in this area. Although it is easy, a couple of challenging 3 pars keep experienced golfers honest. Notable hole - #4 Dog leg around frog pond.

Lake Gaston Golf Club -- Golf Digest Editor
Review by: Wycliff Lovelace The conditioning of this course is....how shall I say this...absolutely sublime. This is Augusta National on steroids, without Martha Burke. Arguably the toughest three opening holes in Championship golf. Although not excessively burly from the tips, this rascal of a course can come up and snap you in the derriere just like the big snappers lurking in the greenside pond on #4. Watch out, hot $#@ ^, it i'll burn ya. I'm not sure what's going on with the green on #12, but no worries, the tree-lined tight fairway on #13 will make up for it.
