Rocky Gap Lodge & Golf Resort -- Rocky Gap Review
Review by: Mark A beautiful course setting with mountains all around and a lake near by. Interstate 68 is a bit too close to the course but that is a minor distraction. The "open" section of the course is a bit boring. The mountain section is quite a lovely challenge. My biggest gripe is that I prefer to walk but this course is too spread for that. A cart is a must. There is a set of tees for every skill level. For the price, the course offers good value. This is a fine location for a corporate get-together. Good meeting areas, fine dining, great golf in a convenient yet relaxed setting. The Golden Bear has put a true beauty in Western Maryland. One nine is perfect and the other needs a wee bit of tinkering to be great.

Worthington Manor Golf Club -- wonderful course
Review by: Ted Alden This is a beautiful course, set on rolling terrain split by streams, lakes and wetlands. When I played in April, 2004 it was in superb condition, with the greens rolling fast and true. The course is hard, but fair. There are not that many trees, so most of the drives give you a chance of bailing out safely on one side of the fairway or the other. The greens are well-guarded but hold approach shots very well. The highlights are three of the four par 3s. Number 6 plays over water to a well-trapped green, number 8 is uphill to with a Redan-style green, and number 17 is a brute -- long and downhill over a creek to an elevated green with lots of sand. Good luck
