Review by: Anonymous	Tha't what it takes to score well on this course. While there are a few places where you can recover from a shot out to the right, for the most part you must stay on the fairway and hit the tiny greens to score well here.

Emerald at Maple Creek, The -- *The Emerald is a Gem!*
Review by: Debbie Masarik	The Emerald is a great course that tests your skills every time you play it. The front 9 plays relatively easy with the exception of 2-3 holes. Maple Creek winds thru the back nine, coming into play on 7 holes. Picturesque in its design, carved out of old hardwood trees and beautiful rolling land make this one of the prettiest back 9's around. Don't let is yardage fool you. There is trouble on every hole if you don't hit the ball straight. Rather short in length but golfers are rewarded with straight accurate shots. Course is well maintained with great greens that are super fast. Hard to believe this course is as new as it is.

I have to admit that I have been a charter member since it opened about 5 years ago. It is a very pretty course and the greens and fairways are maintained in excellent condition. Indeed you can use every club in your bag during an 18 hole round. Fairways range from relatively flat to uphill or down hill. The greens are some what undulating such that an approach shot or chip close to the pin is rewarded while a shot further away typically will require at least a two put to get it in. So far a few sand traps have been installed with probably more to come. During the peak season the tees suffer some what from heavy member play and frequent tournaments. The restaurant has excellent meals especially on Friday and Saturday nights or for booked events. The staff are very friendly and ready and willing to assist in any way they can. The carts have GPS locator systems built into them (the 1st. in Central New York I believe) which enable you to electronically record your score, know your yardage at all times from the cart to the pin, and even to order refreshments at the turn. Try out the course. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Mad Russian Golf & Country Club, The
"Great course for the money"
This course is always fun and challenging to play. The greens in the winter are somewhat bet up but the summer is an excellent time to play. There rates are very reasonable and we enjoy the course very much. The people are always nice and helpful there.

Gleneagle Golf Course
"gleneagle review"
A short, (6100 back tee), course that challenges golfers in all parts of the game. OB, hazards, waters come into play of the tee. Tree lined fairways encourage straight shots. Greens are guarded by bunkers. Some greens are extremely long and flat while others have ridges. Both elements combine to reward accurate approach shots. The very long par three's that require mid irons challenges the long game. Only draw back is that it's not very well maintained in the winter. In the summer a good test of public golf.
