| Gardner Golf Course -- Challenging golf at a great price |

Gardner Golf Course had developed a reputation in years past as a "country" course - i.e. patchy fairways, sand greens, etc. Anyone still labeling it as such has not played it in the last five years. The owners have done a terrific job at upgrading the course. The fairways are as good as you will get at a much higher priced course. The greens are always in great shape and the number of trees and slopes makes it a very challenging course. It's also a par 71 which means 1 extra par 3 - for many people that's a real bonus. The reason I give it four stars is simply value. Sure I can pay 75 bucks and play at a little bit nicer course. But with just a small step down in quality I can play this course for 20 bucks. That makes 4 stars in my book. |

I HAVE PLAYED GGC FOR OVER 20 YRS. IT IS MUCH IMPROVED FROM OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS. STILL BELOW AVERAGE THOUGH. TEE BOXES LEAVE MUCH TO BE DESIRED AND THE FAIRWAYS ARE BELOW AVERAGE. ALITTLE OVERPRICED COMPARED TO OTHER COURSES THAT ARE NICER. GOOD PEOPLE MAKE IT PLAYABLE. |

THis is a well-kept, local secret. The lush fairways and bent grass greens as tip-top shape. GPS in the cart is always nice and the tooth-less beer chick is hot. |
