I played the course in mid-March as the guest of an IMF employee (the only way to get on). The course was in excellent condition and the greens in particular are superb.
It is a fairly flat layout with a handful of elevated greens and tee boxes. The fairways are pretty wide and even if you miss by a bit it's hard to get into much trouble. The challenge is around the greens -- many have narrow openings and if you miss either side you are left with a ticklish pitch, often over sand, to fast greens that slope away. Signature hole is the 9th, a par 3 that requires a good carry over water.
When I played (a Sunday afternoon)the course was quiet and we were able to walk, carry our clubs and move right along. A real treat. |
