Glen Oaks Golf & Racquet Club -- Great beginner course
Review by: Anonymous This course is great for beginners, but will disappoint any experienced golfer. There is no rough, water, rocks, or any other hazard other than the occasional bunker. All holes are simple Par 3 shots, so for the beginner it is an excellent way to get into the game, without being too intimidated.

Canyon Lakes Country Club -- Windy but handy
Review by: Richard L. Canyon Lakes is no great test of golf, but it is a decent course in the middle of suburbia. The front nine is pretty short with a couple of good holes, but the rough is a sure bogey. The back is a decent test. Play in the morning before the wind blows. Good twilight rates (with cart) and the staff is friendly. Nice views from some of the higher spots on the course. Greens are getting a little rough.
