Country Club of Detroit - Regulation Course -- CCD
Review by: Eaton Hamilton Fun course with lots of traps that have steep faces. The par 5's are short, with the exception of #10 (590 yards from the tip). No water and minimal elevation change. What you see is what you get. Pace was good. Course was well maintained. Greens were moderately fast and relatively small compared to many of the newer courses. A couple had two tiers.

Beaver Creek Golf Links - Regulation Course -- Bring all your shots!
Review by: Diezel You are going to need every shot in your arsenal for this course. On many of the holes, driver is not even an option. But it doesn't have the putt-putt feel that some courses of this type tend to have. The course is set much more natural and the holes, while bending, turning and changing, follow the terrain it is laid out on. But this is not a course you can play once. It will pay to have someone in your group that has been there before. This is a shot making course, so you need to know where you need to be on every shot, giving you a huge disadvantage the first time you play it. As another bonus, it is almost just as much fun to sit down after your round, drink a few beers and bet on which people in the foursome on the 13th tee is going to put their shot in the water! (the 13th is the par-3 island green, which tees off right from the clubhouse) In summary, this course is not for everyone. But a golfer that loves a challenge and likes to use sound course management will enjoy it a lot.
