Port Groves Golf Club -- Fun to play
Review by: R. Rose I played my first round of golf on this course in 1958. I played there the morning of my wedding in 1969. I moved away and did not play there again until 2004. It is exactly as I remembered it. A fun wide open course. There are a few scrub trees and some water on the course. The club house is not well stocked but the staff is Southeast Texas friendly. The greens are very small so it takes a good short game to score. It is a fun place to play and although it is a 9 hole course there are multiple sets of tees so the yardage will be different the second time around.

White Wing Golf Club -- Thumbs up!
Review by: Curt Nice layout, both 9 and 18 are great finishing holes. Links setting, no adjacent fairways. Homes are nearby but never in play. Greens and fairways in excellent condition. Varied terrain and trees are atypical (a nice change) for a public course in central TX, most are more wide open. Great clubhouse facilities and friendly staff.
