Port Groves Golf Club -- Fun to play
Review by: R. Rose I played my first round of golf on this course in 1958. I played there the morning of my wedding in 1969. I moved away and did not play there again until 2004. It is exactly as I remembered it. A fun wide open course. There are a few scrub trees and some water on the course. The club house is not well stocked but the staff is Southeast Texas friendly. The greens are very small so it takes a good short game to score. It is a fun place to play and although it is a 9 hole course there are multiple sets of tees so the yardage will be different the second time around.

Plantation Resort Golf Club -- Plantation great for beginner golfers!
Review by: Kim Foster Plantation Golf Club in Frisco is a great beginner course. I've been playing golf for about 3 months now and it's challenging yet play is quick. Go to their website and take a survey to receive $10 off green/cart fee. That makes it extremely affordable.
