Port Groves Golf Club -- Fun to play
Review by: R. Rose I played my first round of golf on this course in 1958. I played there the morning of my wedding in 1969. I moved away and did not play there again until 2004. It is exactly as I remembered it. A fun wide open course. There are a few scrub trees and some water on the course. The club house is not well stocked but the staff is Southeast Texas friendly. The greens are very small so it takes a good short game to score. It is a fun place to play and although it is a 9 hole course there are multiple sets of tees so the yardage will be different the second time around.

Rio Colorado Golf Course -- Players of all skill levels will enjoy this course.
Review by: Terry Stockman Gary Player design company did a fine job with this golf course, from beginner to pro this course has plenty to offer, watch out when the wind is up, with five par fives and many good risk reward holes this course can offer a lot of birdies, but lookout for the par threes, they are tougher than they look. Scenic Colorado river views on the back side, great bird watching, eagles, hawks, etc, also a gator or two or three.
