Tavistock Country Club

Featured Golf Course Review:
Tavistock Country Club -- Average at best
Review by: Jeff Played a as guest in mid-May. Boring Course. Grrens are OK -- a lot of undulation. Not a lot of memorable holes, with the exception of a couple par 3's. 16 (I think) is a par 3 with a stupid green. Conditions were not much better than a public course. They need to bring in a USGA course guy. I know it is an old course, but too many bald spots due to the thickness of the trees. Need to get some sun and air circulation to help with conditions. And what's with the range? Nothing over a 150 yards... I Try to play as many of the privates as possible, but I'll put this in the "Been there done that..." category.

Harbor Pines Golf Club -- Avoid this course
Review by: Derek Lee The course is in good condition but the staff is so mean, you will not have a good time. They have plenty of marshals but they do not know how to manage the course. Expect 6-7 hour round of golf. The golf professional is unprofessional at best. I would rather play at a municipal course than play at this course again. Much better courses for the money around the area. The marshals were not keeping the slow groups moving but were watching the groups to make sure they raked the bunker after they hit out. That is poor taste.
