Halifax Country Club -- Short Tight Course
Review by: Joe Gasperini The course is short and tight with small greens. Keeping the driiver in the bag except for three holes is not a bad idea. Most of the trouble is on the right, water comes into play on a few holes. New irrigation and other improvements recently added.

Piankatank River Golf Club -- Virginia Golf at it's finest!
Review by: Michael McNulty Played this course early March 2004. Fairways were still dormant, greens in fairly good condition, rolled very true. Cart paths still need to be finished, most are gravel. Front nine is a lot of elevation changes and then the back nine opens up, with spectacular views of the Piankatank River. Did not eat at restaurant, however it was busy during lunch. Staff was friendly. A must play course!

Golfable Golf Quote of the Day:
" If you want to take long walks, take long walks. If you want to hit things with sticks, hit things with sticks. But there's no excuse for combining the two and putting the results on TV. Golf is not so much a sport as an insult to lawns. -- National Lampoon, 1979 "
