| Northampton Valley Country Club -- acceptable course considering easy tee times | ||
| Review by: Crusher | I showed up as a single on a Saturday in July at about 10:00 a.m. I was sent out within 10 minutes, and played 18 in about 3 1/2 hours. The course was in generally good shape. The layout is a bit of a neighborhood course, winding through some townhomes, and with several street crossings between holes. I never like this sort of hole to hole distance, but it wasn't too bad. I think the traps and landscaping could be improved quite a bit. There are some long par 4's and testy par 3's for the average golfer. I played the tips, as a 7 handicapper, and shot an 80. Typically, I'd say that's about a fair course. With some improved asthetics, I think this could be a nice course. Many of the holes, considered on their own, are nice holes. All in all, I'll call it a 3 out of 5 stars because it's better than all those cow pasture courses out there. | |

| Review by: Dave | Easy to walk, not to long. When I played the pace was great and the price was better. One of the best values in the area, but don't expect an overly tough course. | |

| Review by: Linda | This is a very woman friendly course. It gives you the opportunity to use your short irons as well as your woods. It present some interesting holes. I found it challenging enough to keep my interest. It has some intriguing holes. It is one of my favorite courses in the Hampton Roads area. | |
