North Bend Golf Course -- slope rating does not tell the story
Review by: native mountaineer slope 102 is very misleading. The fairways are extremely tight, the greens severely sloped and fast - poses a challenge for the average golfer. the bogey golfer would do well to hold that average on this course. you will definitely spend some time in the woods on this course. Lost balls? YOu bet. With sloping fairways, your ball is heading for the OB markers. Fun to play - just keep them very straight.

Woodridge Plantation Golf Club -- Not too shabby
Review by: Taylor I have played woodridge on and off since it opened. Fairways are generous if you don't mind playing with some awkward lies due to it's statium lay out. The condition of the fairways have been up and down over the years, however when I played the course yesterday it was in pretty good shape. Hopefully by late summer it will be great. The greens have always been one of the best in the Mid Ohio Valley. Not perfect cause we are not at Myrtle and since we are in WV there are a few YEE HAAS who like to play golf, but don't understand fixing divots etc. Overall, Parkersburg, WV, love the course.
