Hesperia Golf & Country Club -- New face on an old PGA course
Review by: Eric Schmidt
Hesperia G&CC has seen a recent change of ownership and course management that has really put a new face and a new sense of pride on this old course. This challenging course rewards good course skills and straight shooters. For those of us who can't always hit it straight, the old oaks and pines are sure to cause headache and lost ball syndrome. This course is definately worth playing! |

Bradshaw Ranch Golf Course -- A typical beginning course
Review by: Morris
i played this course yesterday and found it to be a great practice facility for my pitching wedge, which i used to tee off on 7 of the 9 holes (all of which happen to be par 3's). The 200 yard 7th is the hardest of all the holes, but still holds no challenge to the average golfer. Water comes into play on a couple of the holes, but typically is only a threat if you fail to hit the ball 30 yards from the tee box.
Overall the facility is kept nice, or as nice as you'd expect from a par 27 course. This course includes a decent pro shop equipped with all the beginning golfer's equipment, as well as a limited amount of intermediate equipment (such as Ping and Adams golf). The people are really nice there and do a great job of making you feel welcomed.
As for the course, it provides for a great practice facility if you are in dire need of perfecting your iron play and approach shots. The fairways are clean but the greens are somewhat tricky however, not nearly as readable as i thought they would be (I missed 5 birdie puts during one round!). The "sand traps" are mearly sandboxes without the wood barriers, and do not slope down at all. personally, i like this course due to it's practice facility qualities and great price ($6.50). A great place to take the beginning golfer.
