Sure, I am a local who is partial to the Down River course, but there are so many good things to say: the course is well grooomed, you will be greeted by pleasant personnel, pro shop, bar and course have a great atmosphere, and most of all - this is a long but playable course that, in spite of being open, is challenging. Hazards will make you think, but because it is wide open you will be getting your driver out. Many folks do play the fairway - not necessarily their own, though. The greens are usually fast, very fast. Women will find it is women-friendly and the course was recently shortened a bit for the women only. The owners and staff are constantly improving the facility, so you want to be sure to stop by and see what is new or improved. |
