Thunder Bay Golf Resort -- Thunder Bay
Review by: Norman Jensen I have been golfing this course for 30 or 40 years and it has continually improved from a rough 9 hole course to a quite nice 18 hole course. The front nine is considerably more open and easier than the last nine with the exception of the ninth whole which is a narrow dogleg to the left and, in my opinion, the most interesting hole. Your tee shot must be straight and just the right length to have a good approach shot. The course has both open and tight holes plus water. It is flat to rolling.

Tawas Creek Golf Club -- Nice Course, nothing fancy
Review by: Mike If your in the Tawas area and looking for a cheap round of golf on a decent track, here's your place. The club house is nothing to write home about but the course is nice for the low dough money they charge. Nice easy dogleg left par 4 to start your day. Difficult par 5 second hole, very tough green. Water in front, drop off in back, ouch. Number 5 long par 4 that's fun, some water and one big tree can come into play. Easy green though. Number 6 is another tough green. Number 8 can be a round killer par 5. Avoid trees on tee shot and second shot, then water and trees hitting into the small green. The back nine is pretty stright foward until number 18. Crazy long par 5. You could hit a 250 yard drive from the back tees and still be short of the front tee box. Take a 6 on this one and feel good about it. Good course for the money.
