Thunder Bay Golf Resort -- Thunder Bay
Review by: Norman Jensen I have been golfing this course for 30 or 40 years and it has continually improved from a rough 9 hole course to a quite nice 18 hole course. The front nine is considerably more open and easier than the last nine with the exception of the ninth whole which is a narrow dogleg to the left and, in my opinion, the most interesting hole. Your tee shot must be straight and just the right length to have a good approach shot. The course has both open and tight holes plus water. It is flat to rolling.

New Hawthorne Valley Golf Course -- If you like to golf in mud...
Review by: Mike This 9 hole dump is one of the worst places I've ever played. Up-keep sucks, mud and tires ruts everywhere. As you would think, very ugly to look at. Many blind shots where you have no clue of where the landing area is or even if other golfers are out of harms way. Then add the fact the most of the people that work here are rude and seem to have no clue. Simply put, FORGET ABOUT TRYING THIS PLACE OUT, EVEN IF IT'S FREE, THIS PLACE IS THE PITS! Go to Westland for about the same money, much better course.
