The review of Lovington Country Club being a 1 star course is not very accurate. I have played that course numerous times and go back to play in a tournament every year. The cousre is now a true 18 hole golf course. They have built another 9 holes around and through a old lake bed that has some suprising amount of elevation changes.
Also the greens are as good as any you will find as well as fast and true. This is not a up-scale country club but the course itself is always a pleasure to play. Marty the head pro has a well equipted pro shop, and the people you will find are as good as gold.
