Featured Golf Course Review:
| Ravisloe Country Club -- PLus 4 | ||
| Review by: Anonymous | Originally designed in 1901 by James Foulis (from Old Tom's shop in St. Andrews), and revised by Donald Ross in the teens, Ravisloe is a classic of traditional golf architecture. Don't be fooled by its modest length; the trouble is thoughtfully placed, the fairways narrow, and the greens a tough defense. The stretch from 12-17 is awe inspiring, with great natural rhythm--i.e., pars 4-5-4-3-4-4. The bunkers throughout the course are some of the most unorthodox ever devised by Ross. This course is a gem! | |
