Northmoor Golf on the Lake -- *Northmoor - Number 1*
Review by: Champ	This was the experience of a life time. If you want to experience golf at it greatest this is the place you want to be. I think it is not only be best course in Mercer County, but quite possibly the best in Ohio. It is probably the best in all of America. I would not be suprised to see a PGA tour event held here in the near future. On a scale of 1 to 10 this course is an 11. Go there and you will not regret it. It is a challenge yet you will havea an excellent time. The Foxes Den is very comparable but it doesn't hold a candle to it in terms of niceness.

TimberStone Golf Course
"Worth the trip"
This course is easily the best course I have played. It's on a par with Blackwolf Run and the other Kohler courses at a fraction of the price. This course has a spectacular setting. It winds up and around Iron Mountain, and is a marvel of course design. Despite the elevation changes, only one hole plays uphill. The holes are cut out of the mountain side and winding cart paths take you to the next level, and hole, until you reach numbers 9 and 17, both of which play straight downhill (as does 18, a 600 yard par five with 3 terraced fairways). The grooming is immaculate and each hole is separated from the others by woods or water. Even on a busy day it feels like you're the only golfers on the course. The staff is friendly and efficient and the course is nicely rangered. As you play the course, you will marvel both at the quality of the experience and the incredible engineering required during construction. Rates have been in the $50-60 range for the past several years and its the best golf bargain you can find. This is a course you could play every day and it would remain interesting. The fairways and greens compare with any PGA site. This is one not to miss.

A fun and challenging course. Played the course for years and I have never seen it in better shape. The greens are fast but not out of control and the fairways are nicely kept. All in all, great low rates for a real nice course.

I only have one complaint about this course, and that is that it is to wide. Putts do not break on this course either. It does not matter how much the green looks like it will break it does only slightly.
