Featured Golf Course Review:
| San Jose Country Club -- Delightful Donald Ross Challange | ||
| Review by: J.F. Fannin | This private course was designed by Donald Ross to be a resort course in the early twentieth century. It was purchased after World War II by locals and formed into a club known as San Jose Golf and Country Club and has been sucessfully maintained as the private club since. It is the home course to many prominent Jacksonville residents. One must be a member or guest to play. It is a par 72. The greens are all adjacent to the tees, so that it can be walked easily. There are water hazards sprinkled throughout the course, which make it a dangerous layout for errant shots. The moderately fast greens are well maintained Burmuda and are sometimes puzzling with rolling configuration. A mature course--kept in excellent shape year-round. | |

| Baymeadows Golf Club -- Nice course | ||
| Review by: DM | The fairways and greens were in very good condition. Not an easy course from the gold tees (6600) and tough from the back (7000 yards). Water comes into play on 8 holes. The front nine is a bit more challenging than the back, and I would put the three finishing holes up against any three finishing holes in the area. You will play every club in your bag. | |

| Jacksonville Golf & Country Club -- Best place to play in Jax | ||
| Review by: Bob | There is not as much water as noted here. Challenging play for all levels. Private course. Played it over 200 times now with a 76 low twice. Not bad for a 13 HC. Course under full renovation with expected completion Sept 2004. | |
