Cameron Course -- *Quite a challenge!*
Review by: Anonymous	I grew up playing this course (and the championship side) and always found the Cameron to be quite challenging. Hole number for is a 251 yard par 4 that is guarded by sand traps on each side. It's quite a challenge to make par on that hole. This hard hole is made up by the 8th which is a short par 4 (330 yards maybe!).

Review by: Anonymous	In all the golf I've played I have never played a course that is as hard as this course. There are very few holes in which you can hit the driver (not that this is a bad thing) and there are many dog legs. You have to think your way around this course if you are going to have a decent round.

Northern Pines Golf Club -- *Old style links type of course*
Review by: Anonymous	I played this course for the first time in August of 2003. What a joy it was to play here. As long as you keep your ball in the fairway you will do well on this course. When I say it's like a links course I mean it. Outside of the fair way you will find tall grass and rolling hills that eat golf balls like water!

This course borders thousands of acres of protected land on the Sudbury River. The views are great, the course is quiet and they have one of the best Golf shops around. I would recommend a stop at this place for golfers that really enjoy the game.

I love this course. Have probably played it as a guest about 8 times and every time I'm done, I can't wait to get back. Played it 2x last summer ('03), when there was a lot of rain out East, and despite that, still enjoyed it. Fairways are among the best conditioned I've ever seen. Greens are in great shape-- and not too big, so you get a lot of makeable putts, but there are a lot of subtleties to them. As for the layout, get your pars and birdies on the front 9 because the back is brutal. One is a straight out Par 5 and you think "this isn't too bad". Get off the tee straight on two. Four is a very good hole. 6 is a sneaky tough par4 dogleg left, and nine is a 450 yard par 4 (blue tees) that gets you geared up for the back. Not a bad hole on the back nine, plus it takes you out of the holes that wind through office buildings and puts you into wetlands. A lot of carry. Par 10-12 and you are ready for 13, a long par 4 with a 2nd shot carry to a green that is impossible to it and impossible to putt. The member I play with is a 5 handicap and he always says--"take your bogey and smile". 14-17 are no gimmes and 18 is a par 4 that demands a 250 yard tee shot, but this leaves you a 170-200 yard uphill approach from a downhill lie to a green that has more break than any other on the course. Clubhouse is nice, but doesn't seem big enough. I've been there on Summer Friday's and it always seems like they need more space. Food is awesome though.

I was very lucky to be able to play this private track. I would highly recommend this course if you are ever able to get the invite. The clubhouse is what you would expect at a private gated community, large and splendid. But the true beauty is the 18 holes of pure bliss. The course slips and slides through some amazing terrain and it is a shot makers course. You can enjoy this course at any handicap because of the many tee options but if you are feeling bold, take a few steps back and take on the whole course. This course offers alot to the average golfer but like I said, If you get the chance to play it don't pass it up.This is a top 3 course on the grand strand but because it is private not many people get the honor of playing this amazing golf course.
