La Mesa Country Club
Plains Fairway Public Golf Course

Featured Golf Course Review:
La Mesa Country Club -- July 2004
Review by: Local This course has been through a major renovation in the last 4 years. All the greens were re-designed, sand bunkers were added to every hole, and water hazards were added to holes #1,3, and 9. Cart paths were re-paved June '04. It is now in the best shape it has been in in the last 20 years. Very wide fairways with a pretty long cut for the rough and lined with trees. The greens, while not the fastest, putt true. It is now a public course, only crowded after 5pm and weekend afternoons. If you can play it other than these times, it is definitely worth your while.

Review by: Magnus Swenson Playing this course for the first time, you'll enjoy the package deal this club offers. Breakfast, Lunch, balls and cart are included in the price which on a weekday can be as low as $29. I was impressed with the speed of the greens and the condition the course played. A good advise is spend 20 minutes on the putting green if you spend 20 minutes on the driving range, you'll be glad you did. I'll be coming back for sure. First time I shot a 78 +6, with many putts missed. :)
