Countryside Golf Course - East Course -- Wicked greens
Review by: Neil I played this course after Lake county had been pummeled by rain for about a week. It had drained fairly well for what we had been getting. The front 9 the wind is your biggest factor. Wide open leaning towards a links style. When the wind was in your face it was straight on but on the holes when it was at your back it was always across the fairway L to R or vice versa. Back 9, wider fairways and less wind. Greens are very, very very tricky...read the putts in sections. Just when you get past the first big break in the green another little one will sneak up and send it the other. Good facilities, well maintained and good for the $. Only complaint is that no carts (due to the rain) even though there is cart path on 90% of the course.
