Lakeside Country Club -- lakeside
Review by: Casey Kaufman First of all, let me say that the staff is very nice. The clubhouse is aptly stocked and the refreshments are affordable. The course is an old links layout with hard, sloping fairways and lined with pine trees. Some of the fairways are quite narrow and being in the correct location is critical and oftentimes difficult. I think that the course actually plays a little more difficult than the slope indicates--but of course, our group plays the course as a par 68. Most of the holes are rather short but pin placements can present problems if you're not careful. The greens are bent grass and roll as true as you'll find anywhere. Overall it's a fun and challenging course that's worth trying.

Jim & Lilie Golf Club -- A course making a comeback
Review by: Peter I was pleased to see that with new owners this course which I played as a child is coming back into shape. The course fell into disrepair a few years ago but the new management is very knowledgeable and extremely friendly.
