What a great value!
This "foothills" course is fabulous. The fairways are relatively wide with a variety of hills, creeks, small ponds and average to small greens.
Accuracy is a must if you "go-for" greens in two shots (on the par 5s).
Take a chance and a birdie chance can end up with a double bogey.
The views of Grandfather Mountain and Table Rock are magnificent.
Check this public course out when you are in the area.

I love to play this course. It has many "reachable" par 4's, but will bite you if you get it wrong. Don't expect any flat lies, as nearly every fairway and green slopes one way or another.
This course rewards accuracy above all else. It is rather short, but forces you to lay-up with irons from some of the par 4 tees. A few holes are "high risk, high reward."
The greatest asset of this course (other than price) is the spectacular scenery. Views of Table Rock, Hawks Bill, and Grandfather Mountain are a pleasant distraction. |
