Garland Golf Course - Monarch Course -- *What a course to start the season with!*
Review by: Keith Haase	This will be my 3rd year and I can't wait to get up north and play. The scenery is awesome and the golf course, all 4 of them are spectacular. Fountains,Monarch,Reflections and Swampfire will challenge the best but give the weekend golfer a wonderful experiance.

Crystal Springs Country Club -- *Member Review*
Review by: Anonymous	This is an above average course and if you can get on you should try it. Greens are undulating and never have a flat putt. Driving is not an issue here but approach shots are tough with water guarding 2/3 of greens. Good par 5's with small greens or water so going for them in 2 is a big risk.

Marshallia Ranch Golf Course
"Marshallia Rocks"
This is one tough but, neat course. Carved out of the hills surrounding Vandenberg AFB, the layout is challenging and scenic. Play in the fall and winter for the best weather, because spring and summer can be very cool and windy. Each hole rewards a decent shot, but plucks out your heart if your shot runs errant. Ice plant gives a new meaning to the word, rough. Here's a putting tip, 90% of the putts break toward the high hills to the south, though you will swear it can't be. The course is usually in terrific condition and the Clubhouse very accomodating. Green fees, equipment and food are more than reasonable when compared to nearby courses. This is one gem all golfers must experience.

Lufkin Country Club
"Very fun, and inexpensive."
This course is a very well kept secret in the old part of Lufkin, Texas. Not your upper tier type course but cheap for the quality. Fairways are very plush with just a very few spots that need work. And the greens, oh wow, possibly the best greens in the Lufkin-Nacogdoches area (including Crown Colony). For more on this course, go check out their website. lufkincc.0golf.com I say this course is fun because it has it all. It has the very challenging holes that you need to play cautious golf, and then it has the type of holes that you can attack with everything you have. When you finish this course, you will definately want to come back for more.
