Sapona is one of the best golf courses I have ever played in my life. It is very challenging and fun to play, it tests your ability to read greens and hit shots. Everywhere I walked I never saw a bad spot on the fairways or greens. I would highly recommend playing this course if you get a chance, it is worth it! |

I'm not a member at WillowHaven CC, but I've played the course about 8 times and each time has been a great experience. I'm 10 handicap who has both scored well and bad at this course. Though the course can be considered to be somewhat short (6400 from the tips), it has a definite identity with its dog legs, tree lined fairways and excellent greens. You can truly end up over par on a hole if you're approach shot is not placed in the proper location on or around the green. I have played many courses in Pinehurst and around Raleigh and I always look forward to a round at this course. I'm very suprised that this course has not received much pub when I search on the Internet. |
