Lexington Golf & Country Club -- *Best Kept Secret In Central VA*
Review by: BILL PHILLIPS	Of all the courses I have played through out VA I would have to say this is one of the best kept secrets in Virginia. The greens are very fast but yet they hold very well. The vista's of the mountains on the back nine are breath taking. The #17 hole could one day be as comparable to one of the holes at Augusta or the TPC Sawgrass. Its and old club with alot of history set up in a beautiful historic town! If you can get your self and invitation to play it I would highly recommend it. Keep your head down and let it rip. Bill P.

"Thinkers course"
This course is maintained in very nice shape for a public course. It provides plenty of challenge for the average golfer, at a reasonable fee. Staff is helpful.

Foxfire at Village Green
"FGC Social Club Chairman"
Every year we head down from Ottawa and Toronto to Syracuse for the FGC Spring Open, which is now in it 15th year. Because of where the course is situated, it is protected from the winter lake effect, meaning Foxfire is usually open three to four weeks ahead of our own courses and is always in excellent condition thanks to its great drainage. The generous fairways and large greens make it an excellent course for mid to high handicappers, especially at the beginning of the season. In no way, however, does that mean this course is a walk. The second hole, with trees lining both sides of the fairway and slight dogleg left, can easily put you back into the hole after the easy opener. A tricky little Par 3 follows and then rolls in to an uphill dogleg Par 4. Fail to play those three holes well and your round can get off to a very shaky start. Even more challenging are the 13th, 14th and 15th, two Par 4s and a Par 5 that will either make or break your round. For our group, each hole on this course holds a personal history that makes it that much more pleasant to play. While the four-star rating I've given might seem a bit high, there are few courses any of us have played -- public or private -- that we enjoy as much as Foxfire. Throw into the mix the unbeatable spring prices (two rounds, cart and lunch with a beer for under $50 Canadian) and the wonderful staff and you'll understand why we keep coming back for more every year. Victoria National Golf Club
"Best Fazio layout yet."
This Golf Digest top 50 course offers challenge, beauty, and fun for all levels. 15 holes have lakes in play that are former coal strip mines. Condition is as good as it gets. This gem gets ignored because of it's remote location in Newburgh, Indiana just outside Evansville. Victoria National will be host to a Major event in the future.
