Stonybrook Golf Course -- Breathtaking...
Review by: Tom A great course, one of my favorites in Western Connecticut. Immaculate greens and fairways, the landscaping is specatular. It's never really THAT busy, unless there is a tournament going on. A really unique layout that is both challenging and fun to play. The only downside is that the course if very hilly. Even with a cart, there are a lot of climbs up to greens. May be tough to navigate for older golfers.

Laurel View Country Club -- Hidden away, but worth the trip
Review by: Markvs LV has recently been given a big facelift, and it shows. The course is challenging, and if you're walking the front 9, you'll stand a good chance of being near exhaustion towards the end. LV has a full driving range as well as a chipping/putting green with several types of grass and lies. Costs are more than reasonable for the quality of the course. Lots of water on this course, which in terms of difficulty compares well to Tashua in Trumbull. My only complaints would be that last time I played some of the cart paths were close to offroading, and some of the greens were a little worn.
