Spring Valley Golf Course -- *A bit of paradise in the country*
Review by: Don Otis	This is a delightful 18 hole course located in the country, just outside of Livermore IA. Originally built as a 9 hole course and then expanded to 18. The course sits on what was once rolling pasture land with streams and small lakes coming into play on a number of holes. A few dog-leg holes with maturing trees offers plenty of challenge. Many planted flower beds make this course a visual delight.

"If you get the chance to play..."
great course requiring the use of all clubs in the bag. most holes are quite challenging,at least for this (15) handicapper. most holes require keeping it in the fairway, or it's trouble. water comes into play on a few holes. blind tee shot on 18 can be a killer. don't pass up the opportunity to play! finally, being from out of town was made easier by the friendly staff.

Show Low Country Club
"Short but challenging"
The Show Low Golf Club is a great get-away from the summer heat of Phoenix or Tucson. The average summertime high is in the 80's. The two nines are distinctly different, with the front being wide open and inviting the big stick to come out, while most are advised wisely to put their woods away on the tight tree-lined back nine. It is a fun course to play and availablity is usually quite easy.

Shadow Valley Golf Course
"Great no frills course with a fantastic front 9"
My wife and I golf Shadow Valley frequently, and find the course VERY challenging. We typically get scores similiar to what we get at Banbury (the "Premier" course in Eagle). the Front 9 is spectacular, the back 9 is good, but more flat and bendy than hills trees and water. It is not a spanky course, and lacks the ammeneties of the courses we are used to (the better courses in Seattle, where we are from), but you can almost always get a tee time, and the course itself is a blast to play. They were adding junior tees last year (2003), but I haven't been out yet to see if they are done. I took lessons from Bob Campbell last year and it really improved my game. Of course, almost anything would have improved MY game! The prices are typical, 20-30 depending on when you come. Small club house. Carts are extra, but its a rather long walk because of the hills. Its definitly our favorite course in Southern Idaho.
