Featured Golf Course Review:
Emerald Valley Country Club -- not bad...
Review by: Drew This is a course I am extremely familiar with. I live close by and have spent many a nice day getting 9 in. It provides a decent value as far as greens fees, and the challenge factor is definitely there. Watch out for the water and the tricky tee shot on #5. All in all, I like it because of its convenience and that it provides me a good setting to refine and practice my game.

Beckett Ridge Country Club -- Need to be straight
Review by: Anonymous This is a challenging course. You have to be straight off the tee. Go too far left or right and you are out of play. The course is not too long, but you need to hit driver on some holes if you plan to reach the greens in regulation. The par 3's are tough but fair. The greens may be the most challenging part of the course. They are firm and quicker than the park district courses. They have many undulations, and you need to have the ability to place the ball in the proper position. Get above the hole, and you will probably 3 putt. If you don't read greens well, stay away from these. This is course is a challenge, but it will let you know if you are a golfer or a hacker.
