| Old South Country Club -- Excellent |
| Review by: Brian |
From the quirky severe dogleg par 5 #1 to island green par 4 #4, to numbers 9 and 10 (arguably two of the finest par 4's in the region), the course is a treat. Although yardage markers are few and far between and local knowledge is key, the front nine plays open and the back is pretty tight. #16 is noteworthy because even at about 120 yards it is severely downhill with a pot bunker 10 feet deep on the left. #17 is a 420 yard dogleg left requiring a long drive over or beside left side bunkers and an approach through a tube of trees on either side. Good luck but what a hidden gem this course is! |

| Pine Ridge Golf Course -- Greens Fees Have Increased |
| Review by: Anonymous |
Pine Ridge is a fine public course but the weekend fees have increased dramatically over the last year. For a round of golf with a cart the cost is close to $40. That's a bargain when compared to upscale courses but I feel badly for the retired folks and the folks who like golf but whose only choice is a public course. And with private management companies taking over the administration of many courses in the area like Pine Ridge, those courses are not as "public" as we once understood the use of that word. |
