Featured Golf Course Review:
| Club of the Country, The -- Is now Metcalf Ridge |
| Review by: Rex |
The course is now known a Metcalf Ridge. The best time to play is between mid April (when the fairways start greening up) thru Sept. Dry weather is not a factor on course condition(s) due to several ponds used to water the course. When other courses are brown and dry this one stays green. These same ponds become "hazards" on the 7th & 16th and a few others if you have a bad slice. Overall the course is very nice, but tests your skills due to the fairly narrow fairways, rather tall and very thick rough, and the few times you need to cross the small creek which runs through the middle. I rate this course 4.5 stars on a 5 star rating. |

I golfed this course a couple of months ago and it's a decent challenge of a course for those who don't want to go a full 18 holes. For the price of golfing this course, it's too expensive since it's in pretty shabby shape. It needs much work and fees need to be lowered. |
