Homestead Golf & Country Club -- X-OUTS LOVE HOMESTEAD
Review by: Art Aldrich My golf group, the Boeing Employees Golf Association T. Berry X-OUTS League, has had the pleasure of visiting Homestead Farms in mid-August for the past six years for a 54 hole tournament competed by about 20 golfers over three days. Homestead makes the reservations for three days of play and we always play our final round at the Homestead course. For the third consecutive year we will also play Semi-ah-moo and Loomis Trail, certainly ranked among the outstanding courses on the West Coast, as is Homestead. We are accomodated at the condominiums along the sixth fairway. They are always immaculately maintained and have everything required for a very pleasant stay. The staff at Homestead are genuinely devoted to assuring as pleasant a stay as possible for a bunch of old men (our average age is about 67). The restaurant fare is excellent and the bar fun. We will continue to come to Homestead each August as long as they can stand us!!! Art Aldrich President T. Berry X-OUTS thegolfnazi@aol.com

Lynnwood Municipal Golf Course -- Superior
Review by: Mike This course should be written up in the national mags for how to make use of land. How they compressed an 18-hole course into such a small area and still maintain uniqueness and variety from hole to hole is beyond me. There is really only one hole that I use driver on, so that could be a turnoff for those who like to grip it and rip it on every tee box. But I find that I score better here with lots of three- and five-woods off the tee. Average golfers and above will not get much practice with long irons, but you can really improve your mid- and short-iron game. Greens are true and sizeable. Amazing course for the land it sits on, and one in which every Washington golfer should visit.
