Homestead Golf & Country Club -- X-OUTS LOVE HOMESTEAD
Review by: Art Aldrich My golf group, the Boeing Employees Golf Association T. Berry X-OUTS League, has had the pleasure of visiting Homestead Farms in mid-August for the past six years for a 54 hole tournament competed by about 20 golfers over three days. Homestead makes the reservations for three days of play and we always play our final round at the Homestead course. For the third consecutive year we will also play Semi-ah-moo and Loomis Trail, certainly ranked among the outstanding courses on the West Coast, as is Homestead. We are accomodated at the condominiums along the sixth fairway. They are always immaculately maintained and have everything required for a very pleasant stay. The staff at Homestead are genuinely devoted to assuring as pleasant a stay as possible for a bunch of old men (our average age is about 67). The restaurant fare is excellent and the bar fun. We will continue to come to Homestead each August as long as they can stand us!!! Art Aldrich President T. Berry X-OUTS thegolfnazi@aol.com

Olympia Country & Golf Club -- OCGC Great Course...if your a member
Review by: Paul This course is very well maintained. Though this is the first time playing here, all the staff members treated us as if we owned it. The driving range is something to get used to, however, once you get on the course, you will be glad you hit a few. The course is very tight in some areas and in others you wish you could just skip the entire hole. With the greens guarded by sand and putting like you’re on ice, you may begin wondering why you started golfing in the first place. Watch out for 18, your second shoot is blind… Positives: Staff was outstanding Well-kept course Challenging Great views Negatives: It is a Country Club and a private course, would love to play again, however, price for membership is too much for me Short course on front nine. But don’t let that discourage you. It will challenge you All in all, I give this course a 4. It would be a 5 if I could play it again =)
