Savanna Golf & Supper Club -- low scores
Review by: Toby Beaupre This course is not too difficult. There's a few spots where you need to be a straight hitter but for the most part it's pretty forgiving. With the exception of the 2nd hole, every hole on the course gives you a legitimate shot at a birdie. The par 5's are long - but you should be able to go into the green with a short iron on your 3rd shot. The 9th hole can be shortened by 70 yards by cutting the corner by going over the trees.

Somerset Country Club -- Outstanding Golf Experience
Review by: James McCormack Somerset is one of the most challenging courses in the state of Minnesota. There are no gimmicks nor are there any apparent obstacles. Greens are large and water is sparce. The course is not long and the fairways are ample. Sand can be easily avoided and the rough is manageable. This description posits the idea that the course is easy. However, the course beats even the best of golfers on and around the greens. A good drive and approach shot are at most a convenience on this course. The importance of controlled wedges and cagey putting is quickly apparent. Enjoy the old fashion mystique and don't be lulled by the courses appearance.
