Chapel Hill Golf Club -- Longest Par 5 in IL
Review by: RT Mis-stated on the first page, the 17th from the tips plays in at 705 yards!! It is very sobering that you have to hit a great drive just to get past the ladies tee. After that, continue to hit is straight as large old trees come into play. This course outside of the 17th is not long but starts out with four difficult holes. The best part about this course is not the holes themselves but rather the condition of the golf course. Kudos to the greenskeeper. I have played private clubs that are not in as nice of shape as this course. And it gets winter play!!! This is a bargain course that deserves your patronage.

Fox Creek Golf Club -- Fox Creek Review
Review by: Jimmy I find Fox Creek to be the most enjoyable golf course in the area. I regularly drive 45 minutes from West St. Louis County to play there. This course has all the attributes I look for in a course. First it's an extremely challenging course, very well designed with water hazards around elevated greens and tree lined narrow farways. There are three difficult par 3s and some very interesting dog leg par 4s and 5s. Second, its a scenic course that combinines asthetics with challenge. Third, its cheap. I played 18 with cart for $30 on Sunday. Finally, its never crowded. I have never waited to tee off and on most rounds during the week, rarely encountered many other golfers. Weekends same. One of these days golfers will discover this course, but in the meantime, I'm enjoying it. The only complaint I have is the ocassional poor pin placement and failure to address pooling water in low lying areas of fairway. Otherwise, the fairways and greens are normally in above average condition.
