This is a great layout and the greens are always in good condition. But what I have found to be the best part is it always seems to play "fast". I have gone out after work and played in a foursome in under 4 hours. |

Municipal Golf courses offer a good learning experience for beginner, intermediate and experienced players of all ages. Since the game is designed for an average of 72 strokes, half assigned or presumed for green play or putting.
Having had the pleasure and priviledge of playing both Pebble Beach and Beth Page Black, U.S. Open venues with limited public access, I know how good greens can get.
Without a doubt, Hunter's playing/putting surfaces are equal to many private club greens in quality of puttability (if that is a word ).
I commend the superintendant, Tom, on an outstanding effort to maintain those public play areas to a level that is truly a joy to putt on. |
