Indian Springs Golf Club -- *Suprisingly challenging*
Review by: EBH	Many people ignore this course, believing it to be a typical, short yardage public course thats hardly worth playing. However, they are missing out on a suprisingly interesting, demanding, and enjoyable course. A well concieved combination of sloped faiways, doglegs, and dramtic elevation changes force creativity and precision on nearly every shot. This is not a course for someone that insists upon perfectly manicured greens and faiways, but for the days when Lyman, Portland, and Corey Ridge are booked solid Indian Springs is a worthwhile alternative.

Mountain Valley Golf Course - Maple/Oak Course
"hidden gem"
Course was originally 18 but 9 new holes were added in the last few years. The three nines, oak, pine, and maple are all challenging with tight tree lined fairways with generous sized greens with a fair bit of undulation. Huge elevation changes on some holes offer great views of the surrounding PA countryside. Although not the longest course, although some holes are quite long it is easily the most difficult in the region due to the tightness and difficult putting greens. The greens are always in great condition so the difficulty I have with putting is assuredly not the course, It's all mine. Great value too, and a friendly and helpful staff makes these three nine hole courses a must when in the area.

Chief at Sky Lodge Golf Course, The
"Bring it on!"
The Chief is perhaps the most challenging course I have played in northern Michigan. While it is a toughy, especially from the tips, it brings out a carnal instinct in me to play it again because I know that with my new knowledge I can improve my score. The course was in great shape with its bent tees, greens and fairways nicely manicured. The pro indicated that they just lowered the length of the rough, which made a great improvement. Service was also great in the shop. Leave your driver at home and have some fun.

Clifty Creek Golf Course
"Aluxinterior course review"
Clifty Creek is a subtle golf course isolated in the southern Indana landscape. Devoid of the typical golf snobbery this is a great course to relax with friends or work on your game. The only thing that this course is lacking is another nine holes and more sand traps, but I believe both are currently under construction.
