| Quail Ranch Country Course -- Fun Course |
| Review by: Erik Davidson |
It is a fun course to play. Very hilly, don't walk. Lots of elevation change. Gets hot in summer and dries out, but for the money you can't beat it. Greens are usually in good condition the fairways depend on heat. Compares to El Prado. Bring a collard shirt or they WILL NOT let you play. |

Condition plays a huge part of the playability of this course. When in good shape, this is one of the most unique and fun courses in SoCal. It's also a very reasonably priced layout. The greens are the real story here though. No matter what the break looks like, know that the ball will role toward the witche's t** across the valley. The course seems to have a tough time with water availability in certain parts of the season(s), so make sure you get an update when calling for a tee time. Valleys, bridges and caverns abound with forced carries and proper shot selection a must. However, if you play from the correct tees, you will have a great time. |
