Elks Country Club -- *Mountian Golf at Elkins WVa.*
Review by: Draco	Played this course over the Labor Day weekend. Most of this nine hole course is built to conform with the terran. The fairways are narrow grass and the greens are slick and fast. Playing this course will be a challange for the experience golfer. I met one of the regular players and he showed me the course. Local knowledge was a plus. With hidden greens. Slick hills sides and intersting tee placements made for a great game. Thank you Elks Club of Elkins, WVa.

Chapel Hill Country Club
"HARD TO GET ON - GREAT TO PLAY"
Course is a traditional style designed by Gene Hamm and renovated by John LaFoy in 1999. This is the only private course in Chapel Hill. Walking is encouraged and it is a great way to experience the course. Signature hole IS NOT # 14. It's # 10 which can require carry over water twice. Pin on this hole makes 3 to 4 clubs difference on second shot. It's a beauty! Only one hole without bunkers - the par 3 9th is about 175 uphill from middle tees. Out of bounds on many of the holes as the fairways rise and fall through a very established traditional and exclusive neighborhood. Greens are all large (with at least 6 different zones on each one for pin placement)and have many contours. Three putts are common - especially in spring and fall when the bent grass surface is kept very fast. Bring your thinking cap, but also bring your game if your fun comes from scoring well. It's not an easy course, but it's not Jack Nicklaus difficult either.

Springfield Golf Club
"Dakota's Pebble Beach"
One would hardly expect to find a gem like the Springfield Golf Club in this rural setting in an agricultural state such as South Dakota. This course demands your best game with keeping the ball in the fairway a premium. Although not a long course, the long hitter does not have a major advantage. Tree-lined fairways are expertly maintained and the greens are challenging. All of this quality golf is accompanied by some of the most beautiful scenery in the state. The course is built on bluffs overlooking Lewis and Clark Lake and the view from every tee is extraordinary. This wonderful nine hole golf course has earned the right to be called Dakota's Pebble Beach.

Bellows Falls Country Club
"Country Golfing"
Great course..Vermont has some of the best scenery and this coures shows it off. The gully is a nasty golf ball eating beast, but beyond that, the hills, ponds and folks make it great. Bellows Fals is well worth the trip. Also Reccomend Rick Grill And Tavern South of Course.
