Rated this course at 4 stars primarily in relation to other military courses. Prices are typical military bargain, but the relatively light play here compared to NAS Jax makes this a real pleasure. I've mostly played here on weekdays and have never had to wait to start, and play is usually very fast. The design is pleasant to play for all skill levels. After your first round you'll look forward to your next round to take advantage of course knowledge. Fairway conditions usually are average and greens are normally very good. Fun par 3's and hidden challenges on many of the holes if you spray the ball. Long hitters don't have an unfair advantage...premium is on accuracy. |

Hickory Ridge is a beautiful natural course. It is very challenging. Every time I have played there, I have seen deer and/or wild turkeys.
The last weekend I played there, 6/11/04, the greens were in excellent shape!
This course is a great bang for your buck!
