Mannitto Golf Club -- manito golf
Review by: Robert Johns I live in Louisville Ky but am originaly from Saltsburg. I played Manito in the spring of 2004 on two separate occasions. I found it to be a very good shape with nice fairways and excellent greens. The clubhouse was dated but is a work in progress. The staff were very nice and helpful. I played with my son and nephew one time and they also enjoyed the course. I found it to be a real challange with water on some holes, and trees lining most fairways. I paid 20 dollars for eighteen, but have paid more for some worse couses. I would highly recommend this course to golfers of all abilities Robert Johns

Indian Mountain Golf Course -- Good, Reliable Golf
Review by: Richard Now first let me say that I first played at Indian Mountain as a kid in about 1955. The course hasn't changed much since then. It is relatively open, fun and plays pretty fast. I think the last three holes are the most interesting: a hole surrounded by pines, a par three that drops straight down, and a finishing dogleg where you get to choose how much of the corner to clip. The trap on the 7th hole is in the middle of the fairway, and if I remember correctly, not all that far out. I can tell you that to a kid with a relatively short drive it was like the gaping mouth of a whale. The course is surrounded by pretty country, and Indian Mountain is a reasonably priced place to have a very enjoyable and workmanlike round of golf. The greens are not all that interesting. I'm sorry to hear that another reviewer had such a poor experience; I remember the original owner (pre 1960!), a guy named Alex, being just great.
