I'm on the Tecumseh High School golf team and Sugar Isle is our home course, its one the of the best courses in the area. We play all kinds of courses around this area and from the experiences I've had i think its one of the best. Its fairways are usually in pretty good shape and the greens are always in great shape, its not the best course to play on right after a big rain though because of all the rolling hills it doesnt drain water too well. I'd say its a challenge for the intermediate player and on some days even the advanced. |

I've played the course several times, and it has always been very well maintained with relatively quick greens that roll very well. There is a lot of variety in the holes requiring most of the clubs in the bag to be used. There is a fair amount of water that comes into play on several holes requiring accurate tee and approach shots. Houses are a little close on a few holes, and this issue appears to be getting worse with new construction, but the fact that it is limited to only a few holes makes it bearable. Staff has always been very courteous and accomodating. |
