Candlewood Valley Country Club -- KKusen@AOL.com
Review by: Ken Kusen The course is is very good shape. The pro? shop attendent was rude and the course manager was even worse. I would not return if the green fee was free. This used to be my favorite course. I moved away and returned after seven years to a disaster. Definately not professionally run. Ken Kusen

Orchard's, The -- A nice 9 hole
Review by: Markvs I've played this course at least 30 times. I'm a pretty new golfer (3 years) and I usually shoot 5-10 over at the Orchard's. Pros: It's not a par-3. Orchards does have a couple of short holes (2,6,& 8 especially), but 3 & 9 are reasonable for driving, 4 with a smaller wood. It's good for "freshening up", as you get to use everything in the bag. It's also reasonable at ~$15 a game for out of towners. Cons: "Bunching up" is common on weekends, and lots of folks don't fix divots. The course is sometimes not as well kept as it could be. Basically, it's a fun place to play, though about 1000 yards short of playing 9 on a "full" course. It is challenging and certainly worth playing at least once or twice no matter what your experience level.
