Lake Waramaug Country Club

Lake Waramaug Country Club -- fabulous location...challenging
Review by: Anonymous this course is located in washington connecticut. it is located in the picturesque litchfield hills overlooking beautiful lake waramaug. the course is challenging yet is nine holes but plays differently each time i have played. this is a "club in the country...not a country club" this club give you the feel of being in the adirondacks. the course sits high on a hill. i have played courses all over the country and have found this to be every bit as challenging as the larger more publicized courses.

Farms Country Club, The -- Just ok
Review by: Dale Street A nice but not great golf course. Its biggest asset is it fine condition. Not much creativity in evidence. All the par threes are on the long side. Excessive number of dogleg holes (six on the front nine and four on the back). The length of the par threes and the large number of doglegs cause this to be a slow-playing course. The greens are very fast maminly because they tilt dramaticaly from back to front. They don't undulate, just tilt. You want to be a lot short rather than a little long. The rough, although not long, is quite gnarly and punishing. Need to be in the fairway. It's a good members' course.
