Borland Golf Center - Par 3 Course -- Borland is a real piece of work
Review by: Na Trone From the moment I arrived at Borland, I fell in love. The club house rises up over the crest of the hill as you approach. It is very well kept. The course itself is fairly challenging for a 9-hole course in Amish country. Other than the eagles I shot on the par-5s, I managed only pars and birdies on the remainder of the holes. The walk is fairly simple. However, I do recommend taking a cart, as you can tear up the fairways much easier. I will return to play golf at Borland again. Salute!

Sinking Valley Country Club -- Wonderful track
Review by: Rob Harper Since moving back to the Altoona area a few years back, I've been disappointed with the courses in this area. Just an hour towards central PA, there are dozens of great courses everywhere. Today, I went and tried out the Sinking Valley course, and was pleasantly surprised. It was in excellent shape, and had plenty of risk/reward holes. I can't wait to go back. I think some of the other over-rated /over-priced dusty courses around here need to contact the green keeper over in Sinking Valley and get some advice! Nice Pro Shop too. Haven't seen one that actually stocks equipment in a while. Only thing I didn't like, they didn't have any logo balls :-(
